Boa-Franc President Pierre Thabet receives Lifetime Achievement Award from the NAFCD

St-Georges, Quebec, November 20, 2013 - Pierre Thabet, President of Boa-Franc, the manufacturer behind the Mirage brand of hardwood floors is recipient of the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the NAFCD, the National Association of floor Covering Distributors.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented for exceptional leadership or outstanding contributions that have led to expanding the vision of the floor covering distribution industry. It recognizes exceptional individuals who are positively impacting their respective businesses and the flooring industry as a whole. The Award was presented to Pierre Thabet, President of Boa-Franc as a part of the NAFCD + NBMDA Annual Convention in Chicago, IL on November 12: " The landscape has changed a lot in 30 years. What has not changed is our passion to be the best. I accept this award on behalf of our employees, customers and suppliers. They are the reason behind our success and we consider them as partners—without them, it would not have been feasible, states Pierre Thabet.

"In 1983, Pierre Thabet purchased Boa-Franc which at the time had three employees. On March 3, 1984, his company suffered a devastating fire that completely destroyed their plant. Pierre rebuilt and grew his company to the fourth largest hardwood flooring manufacturer in North America with nearly 400 employees. Pierre's drive for process and quality has established a culture that is dedicated to the company doing their best work in all things and at all times," said NAFCD President George Roth.

Located in Saint-Georges, Boa-Franc designs and manufactures Mirage hardwood floors, which are distributed in Canada and the United States through nearly 2,300 specialized dealers and are internationally recognized for their quality. The company celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year.
